  • I am copyrighting this 16.02 on whatever day of December this is!

I have just composed the first of a set of 17 genre-benders a la mode de 2008 Attention Spans (subtitle Flute etude #1).

    Jonathan S. FeBland K.1376

100% PRS and 100% MCPS Copyright ownership belongs exclusively to:

    Jonathan S. FeBland

Will be published in roughly 48 hours on Sibelius Music dot com

Will be on YouTube in around 8 days - maybe sooner, performed by a 14 y.o. flautist from Hong Kong called Johann Chan to whom I am dedicating the whole set of 17 pieces.

The YT performance will be a "World Premiere".

Is it December? It was like June in Edgware today!

  • A slight misunderstanding!

Footnote: "Composeraster" means Composer with Zero Talent.

    JS commented thus:

What music is this exactly please?

It has a talent rate of -3/100

    The composeraster answered thus:

Good that you are sincerely, Jonathan, your opinion is valuable for me. Three percents don't means very much... You don't like this song, am I right?

    JS clarified thus:

My man, you are "almost" right. btw is it OK if I can use the word shit on your channel? I do not normally say shit very much because swearing is bad, especially in front of children. This is a piece of shit. It is nowhere near remotely getting a score of 3% the score if you read it again is not 3/100 at all !!! The score is -3 (negative 3) out of 100 !!! Pure Shit - One could say (perhaps) "Shit Gold" !!!!! xoxo

  • People are now working for me.

    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bt65AjyWueA

  • Very little activity

Just to repeat something I mentioned a day or was it two days ago...

"I have written circa 38 songs since May 2008"

  • Another typical day at the office over here in dullsville.

I am going to the Opera with the most stunning young lady on the whole of YouTube.

Do you think things have moved on for me this week at all?

  • My recent YouTube schedule

Monday - 16 hours of YouTubing
    Tuesday - 17 hours
    Wednesday - 17 hours
    Thursday - 20 hours

I now have confirmed performances from rising stars in the Classical music world of my compositions.

Things are happening a little slowly by my standards i.e. only 500 m.p.h.

My regular speed is Warp Factor 11.

  • Who am I working with in Switzerland - Listen Free !!!

Free Music starts after about 20 - 30 seconds.

Each page runs for about 30 minutes.

you can skip tracks if you can work out what to click!

  • If you thought some of my other news recently was big...

My Switzerland CD has just been confirmed.

17 (yes, really 17) tracks have been approved for the project.

A little more info is avail. here -

I have written circa 38 songs since May 2008 and was worried that only about 9 or so would be selected and that I'd need to write another 3.

Mike is now talking in terms of a follow-up album!

How excited do you think I am right now?

  • Someone on YouTube asked me a question

How to be a professional musician

    This is what you need:

    1. God-given talent
    2. Hard work over many years (I heard recently, 10,000 hours work!)
    3. Some luck - in fact, a lot of luck!

I think that sums it up about as quickly as I can! I thought this email was going to take me about an hour to write - ha ha!

    Best wishes,

    Jonathan

  • Another exciting day on YouTube

Previously I was getting 1 to 2 messages per week over the last 6 months.

We are talking 200-300 within the last 48 hours.

That is how quickly things have moved on thanks to the promo-

It's almost embarrassing to quote some of the comments I've had, but what the hell, this is my blog so I'm gonna do it!

I've been compared to Beethoven once, Chopin, twice and Horowitz (the greatest Pianist of all time) once - and that's just for my piano playing!

Well, that's got that nonsense out of the way!

All I can say is that you probably won't be seeing quite so much of me on this website in future as I will instead be focusing on my YouTube presence.

Presence is bloody important over there.

You need subscribers, friends, comments, "Channel" comments, there's also off the record correspondence to deal with. This is all highly time-consuming (as you can probably imagine), but it will pay off for me eventually. How?

My aim is to ask other talented YouTubers to start performing my Compositions on their channels.

This has already started being instigated.

A lot of interest has been expressed and I can see a truly rosy future on that website for me. It appears my time has arrived (finally).

This is just an example of one tiny message that happened today:

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks a lot for the message and your advice

You're a great musician and inspiration

    All the best

    Ben

    Keep the Champagne on ice!

  • I wouldn't say the 'blue wave' is quite happening yet, but...

I have just started to make a bit of a breakthrough on YouTube today thanks to some intense 1-2-1 convassing among classical music fans who are already established on that website.

Now, for your general amusement, here are some remarks I've picked up today...

I see you play piano as well lovely :)

Woaooo Awesome xD Did you really composed this by yourself?! Woaoow Nice ;)
5 Stars for Sure. Really nice I LOVE IT

very nice melody, has a playful singing quality. I love your injection of polyrhythm near the middle, gave it a very carefree feeling. You've got some talent as a composer! :)

Now this can be taken one of two ways...

you've got 'some' talent as a composer or,
you've got SOME TALENT there, as a composer

(I wonder which he really meant!)

    Perhaps I'll never find out!

Oh well, it's all fun and games on YouTube and as they say, there's only one thing worse than being talked about and that is not being talked about!
